“What’s up Everybody!?,
With the ski season just around the corner I wanted to officially let everyone know that I am retiring from competitive Halfpipe skiing. I’m feel so fortunate to have had the career I’ve had, I know it wouldn’t have been possible without all the people that have helped me along the way. I’d like to thank my parents first and foremost for their endless support in me pursuing my dreams. My coaches, Marc and Trennon, who have had my back all along and to whom my achievements wouldn’t have been possible without. Everyone at Canada Freestyle – the guys/gals in the office, Adrian, the support staff of physios, doctors, the trainers, you’ve been the best support crew. Kenny, thanks for making me go fast as f***! I’d like to give a huge shout out to all my sponsors for allowing me the financial freedom to travel the world and live an endless vacation, while having the privilege to also call it my job. What I am most grateful for are all of the friends, teammates, competitors and skiers who have come into my life throughout the years and become like family to me. I love you all, and those friendships are bonds that will last forever. I really am so thankful to be where I am, and while it isn’t the easiest decision to move on, it is one I am very excited for. I can’t wait for what’s next! I’ll always be a skier and it’s going to be a fun season with a lot of pressure off my shoulders. I’ll see you all on the slopes!
Cheers,
-Mike”
